Joy of Painting

All of us, with luck, have something that we love doing, and maybe more than one thing. For me, my art, the creation as well as the product, is it. It comes after my love of my family, but it’s very important to me. I feel having found it as a young person and having it be a part of my whole life is a gift. Teachers along the way, living in beautiful parts of the country, have provided technique and inspiration.

I’ve enjoyed doing commissions of people’s pets, favorite landscapes or structures. The more I continue to paint I enjoy the process as much as the finished painting.
